University of Sunderland
An introduction to The University of
Sunderland
The
University of Sunderland* has been providing higher education in
the city since 1901. The key to this longevity is its ability to
adapt to change. Around £130m has been spent on Sunderland's
campuses in recent times providing facilities which have been
tailored towards students' specific needs.
The university prides itself on the student experience it
provides and recently came out top in the UK at a prestigious
national awards ceremony. Voted for by students and graduates
themselves, Sunderland convincingly won the title of the most
continued improvement in the student experience in the Times Higher
Education (THE) awards 2010.
