Phil joined the Bristol Institute of Legal Practice (BILP) in 1993. He works on the Business Law and Practice and the Criminal Litigation teams and specialises in the following areas:

  • Business Law
  • Criminal Litigation
  • Advocacy

Phil also teaches on BILP's Professional Skills Course as an Advocacy trainer.

Before working at BILP, Phil trained and worked in London as a Solicitor before moving to become a Partner in a Bristol firm. Phil has also worked for The Treasury Solicitor and for Bristol City Council.

Phil has also been regularly employed by the Solicitors Regulation Authority as a Committee Member and as an External Examiner on the LPC3 course.
