Alan joined the Bristol Institute of Legal Practice (BILP) in
2000. He teaches on both the LPC and the BPTC and specialises in
the following areas:
- Civil Litigation
- Intellectual Property
- Media and Entertainment Law
- Opinion Writing and Drafting
- Practical Legal Research
Before working at BILP, Alan
worked at Clifford Chance in their Entertainment/Commercial
Department and as an independent barrister practising in a
specialist Intellectual Property Chambers. He also spent some
time as an academic in various law schools, includingCardiff Law
School and King's College, London. He has published articles
on Intellectual Property and Media Law in journals such as the
European Intellectual Property Review and the Modern Law
Review.
