How to apply
To apply for any of our courses (LPC, GDL, or LLM Top Up) you
will need to complete an application form (with the exception of
the full-time LPC, see below for details). You
can download an application form from "Apply here" (see
right). Alternatively, email us at nclt@nclt.co.uk or call 0121 362
7529.

Applying for the LPC - important
information
Students applying for the September 2012 LPC
For the part-time course, apply now directy
through NCLT, by downloading the application form from
"Apply here" (see right). Low deposit required to secure
a place at your preferred study centre.
Apply now for the part-time LPC to secure your
place. First round deadline is 28 February 2012.
For the full-time LPC, you will need to apply through the
Central Applications Board (CAB). You can apply online via
the CAB website from 1 October
2011. NCLT centres are listed on the CAB website under
UWE/NCLT (the University of the West of England is the authorised
provider).

Applying for the GDL
Apply now for the part-time GDL to secure your
place. First round deadline is 1 March
2012.
Guidance for the LPC and GDL application process:
- Supply 2 references (preferably one academic and one
personal)
- Supply copies of your educational certificates
- On your application, please specify a second choice of an NCLT
study centre
- We will confirm receipt of your application and let you know if
any part of your application is incomplete
- You must comply with SRA requirements to enrol on the LPC. To
find out about SRA student enrolment and obtaining a certificate of
completion of the Academic Stage, refer to SRA guidelines below or
visit www.sra.org.uk/students/student-enrolment.page
- Subject to your application being successful, you will receive
an offer letter from us within 2 weeks (within 3 weeks for the full
time LPC)
- Once you have accepted our offer, you will need to pay £100
deposit to secure your place on the course. See our Fees &
Funding page for details
NB Please note, we appreciate that it can take time to collate
the information required, so to get the process started, you can
submit the application form to us and forward the supplementary
documentation at a later date.

Track your LPC/GDL application
Once you have submitted your application form, we will send you
login details to our Student Support
Website. You can log in to the site and keep track of
how your application is progressing.
SRA Guidance LPC - Important information
Please note, NCLT centres are listed on the SRA
website under the University of the West of England (UWE), the
authorised provider.
Before you start the LPC you must enrol as a student with the
SRA and obtain their written confirmation that you have completed
the academic stage of training.
If you are graduating in 2012 and have not yet applied for
student enrolment, you should complete the SRA online application
process www.sra.org.uk/students/student-enrolment.page.
There is an £80 student enrolment fee which is payable by credit
or debit card.
If you graduated before 2012, have previously applied for
student enrolment or do not have a credit or debit card you will
need to request a form EN1 (student enrolment) and a CA1 (academic
stage application form).
The student enrolment fee is payable by cheque to "The Law
Society" and should be enclosed with your application form.
