International students
At NCLT we value the diverse community of students on our
courses. The National College of Legal Training (NCLT)
offers the following postgraduate qualifications to law
students and others interested in pursuing a career in law:
Support for international students:
I am very impressed with the renown reputation and range of
professional legal services that NCLT offers to residents and
international students. The extremely reasonable tuition for
the legal practice course is reinforced with an excellent team of
knowledgeable tutors who are legal practitioners. As a
foreign student I have received outstanding logistics on receiving
course material and academic support which is also afforded to
every student. As a mature international student with a
full-time job, the NCLT Legal Practice Course has allowed me to
continue working while attending monthly classes in England.

Advice on immigration and visas
An entry clearance certificate may be required if:
- You are not a British Citizen
- You are not a Citizen of one of the European Economic
Area (EEA) countries
NB You should also find out if you need a visa to study in the
UK. Please note that the visa application process can take a
considerable amount of time. We therefore recommend that you
apply for a visa as soon as you have accepted an offer of a
place on your chosen course.
For further information about visas, please download our
information sheet.
Settling in the UK
We understand it can be daunting moving to a new place, but NCLT
host a number of events such as our 'social' nights, where you will
have the opportunity to make friends with students on your course
and get to know the tutors. You can also keep in touch with
people by joining our social network sites, Facebook
and Twitter.
To find out more about where you will study, including
travel, accommodation and social activities, take a look at LPC and
GDL Study Centres.
Study support and flexible learning
NCLT deliver part-time weekend study courses, where you can earn
whilst you learn or balance other commitments with studying.
Our courses are supported by e-learning, adding flexibility to your
study experience.
The friendly team at NCLT includes the Student Support Centre
staff, whom are on hand to answer any student queries and assist
with your course application process. Our talented tutors
operate an 'open door' policy and are happy to provide support and
feedback to students throughout their study.
Healthcare
The UK's free National Health Service (NHS) is
available. To be eligible you need to be studying full-time in
the UK for longer than 7 months. You will need to register
with a General Practitioner (GP) to receive treatment.
Visit www.nhs.uk for further
information about this service.
For students who are not eligible for the NHS service, we
recommend you take out a medical insurance policy.
