Funding options

It's not always easy to fund your studies, but there are various organisations that can offer you financial support:

Loan packages and bursaries

Banks will often see LPC graduates as a good investment so will be likely to offer you a loan.

Firm sponsorship

Some large firms offer sponsorship of the LPC as part of their recruitment package.

Local Authority grants

There are some Local Authorities that offer financial support.  You can contact your Local Authority to find out more.

Law Society bursary scheme

If you have no other funding then you could be eligible for a bursary from the Law Society.  Applications must be submitted by April of the year that you commence the course.  Contact 0870 606 2555 or email bursaryapplications@lawsociety.org.uk.

Charities and grant-making trusts

Some charities offer funding to students.  Get in touch with the Education Grants Advisory Service, egas.enquiry@fwa.org.uk for further details.
