Getting the most out of law fairs
Law fairs offer you a great opportunity to meet law firms and
course providers. There will often be graduate recruiters and
lawyers present, so you can find out useful information about
working for a particular firm.
Most law fairs take place in the autumn term at universities
throughout the UK. A list of fairs can be found at lawcareers.net and may also be
advertised through the careers service department of your
university.

Top tips for attending law fairs
- Dress smartly
- Make a list of the firms you wish to speak to in advance of the
law fair. Do your research on these firms so you are familiar
with them
- Be confident when speaking to firms
- Ask interesting questions i.e. size and culture of the
firm
- Give recruiters your name
- Be professional at all times and don't ask for the
freebies
- Remember first impressions can be lasting impressions. Make
sure you leave a good one
